Developer

Ascina is a young startup with an ambitious mission to be the number one health and fitness app. We aim to do this by pioneering on the frontier of wellbeing and delivering our findings to users in a fun, engaging app. We have attracted a lot of early attention from investors and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing startup trying to do something remarkable in the world.

We are looking for a Developer to join our core engineering team to help us build and develop our main app. It is a rare chance to do something exceptional with exceptional people that will positively impact the lives of a large number of people. 

Necessary Skills

• Be exceptional

• 3+ years of experience designing and managing complex web-based applications, with an emphasis on problem solving and teamwork. We use VueJS and Qaisar, with MySQL as the backing data store, though we are also always on the lookout for how to improve.

• The ability to create high quality code quickly whilst following best practices. 

• Communication. You must be comfortable expressing complex ideas in both written and verbal forms.

• Being a team player. We put a high store on culture and values. 

• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; you will have come from an environment in which people are responsible for their own code.
